Dr. Henry Sullivan
Chief Executive Officer & Chairman

Dr. Henry Sullivan began working for North American Technologies Group, Inc. (OTCBB: NATK), the parent company of TieTek LLC, in 1996, and served in a variety of roles before his departure in July 2007. He was President and Chairman from January 1999 until February 2004. Dr. Sullivan was the principal architect of a composite railroad crosstie made from recycled composite materials, which was sold under the TieTek brand.

Prior to joining NATK/TieTek, Dr. Sullivan was employed by Huntsman Chemical Corporation and Shell Oil Company, where he spent twenty-six years in various senior management and technical roles.

Dr. Sullivan combines extensive experience as a senior executive for multinational, multi-billion dollar corporations, with a proven track record in the start-up, acquisition and development of manufacturing and marketing companies, many of them early-stage technology companies.

In 1965, Dr. Sullivan joined Shell Oil Company, designing refineries and petrochemical plants at Shell's New York headquarters office. He was later given a number of field positions with various Shell plants, and in 1978, became the Business Center Manager for Hydrocarbon Utilization for all six major refinery complexes in the United States, where he was responsible for directing all hydrocarbon movement and processing in and out of the refineries, a multi-billion dollar operation. In 1982 he became responsible for all of Shell's Polymers, Plastics and Specialty Chemicals in the U.S. In this role, Dr. Sullivan was also responsible for identifying and commercializing new chemical technologies for Shell, and later ran Shell's venture capital operation, Shell Polymers & Catalysts Enterprises, with 14 different entities.

In 1988, Dr. Sullivan joined Huntsman Petrochemical Corporation as President, and in 1989 became Vice Chairman of Huntsman Chemical Corporation, the parent company and the nation's largest private chemical company.

Dr. Sullivan has served as Chairman and Director of a number of companies and organizations in manufacturing and polymer technology, including Huntsman Chemical and the Executive Committee of the Society of the Plastics Industry. He currently serves as a Director of Sarkeys Energy Center at the University of Oklahoma.

Dr. Sullivan earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Cooper Union and completed Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from New York University in 1965.


Dr. Rex Crick
Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Crick has 30 years of hands-on field experience with subsurface basins and shale reservoirs across the US and much of the world. Dr. Crick’s areas of technical expertise include petroleum geology, hydrology, recycling, manufacturing process design, and the interpretation of reservoirs and source shales including the Anadarko reservoirs and the Woodford, Fayetteville, Marcellus, and Chattanooga Shales. He has published and lectured extensively and has consulted for major oil producers including Mobil, ARCO, BP, Marathon, and Exxon/Mobil. Dr. Crick also served our country in the U.S. Navy.

Since 2008, Dr. Crick has served as Chief Executive Officer of Recycle Technology Industries, LLC, a manufacturer of recycled structural products, and he is currently Professor Emeritus at The University of Texas at Arlington, a position he has held since January 2008. Previously Dr. Crick was Professor of Geology and Paleontology from 1987 through 2008. Rex has 30 years of hands-on field experience with subsurface basins and shale reservoirs, experience that is difficult to duplicate and important to Sionix as it seeks to work closely with the oil and gas industry to deliver its environmentally responsible water treatment technologies.

Dr. Crick recently acted as a consultant at Sionix’ frack water treatment project in the Williston Basin of North Dakota, where his experience and leadership have provided important contributions.
